Caribbean Premier League: Rahkeem Cornwall Hits 6 Sixes and Retired

Remember Pakistani legend Inzamam Ul Haq? Meet another giant cricketer Rahkeem Cornwall. He might not have that flamboyant personality like Inzamam nor does he holds a huge record just like his body. He is as good as him as a lazy cricketer.

But he surprised his fans by hitting 6 sixes in a match under Caribbean Premier League and he chose to retire as he was too tired to run.

He was playing against Barbados Tridents for St Lucia Stars. He scored 78 runs in 44 balls and chose to leave the field as he lost all of his stamina in the middle. St. Lucia Stars were busy chasing the 196 runs’ target by Barbados Tridents. Eventually, they lost the match by 29 runs.

However, West Indies have found a new star that is shaped like Wayne Shaw. Rahkeem Cornwall seemed to be more suited for American Football with his giant 20+ stone frame and 6’5” height. The 24-year-old hot shot all-rounder Cornwall pumped the team England in 50-over format around the ground against WI Cricket Board XI on Monday.

Cornwall scored 59 in the innings, including 3 sixes off England, which included Liam Plunkett, Ben Stokes, and Moeen Ali.

Then Cornwall started his batting lineup with commendable figures of 1-39 in 10 overs. However, England won by 2 wickets and 7 balls left. There is a room for long-term worries despite his huge hitting that Antiguan won’t get much from his talents because of his body weight.

The local administration will do everything possible to get him in shape. Courtney Browne, the chairman of selectors, said that they have a programme for him to shed pounds.

The former Test player added at a regional radio station, “We actually have a plan for him where we want someone to help him.”
