The heat is on the rise in IPL this year and teams are making changes to get the best combination. With a couple of suspects to lead the ground, there are some who haven’t turned up yet, which will impede the progress of teams.
It might be too soon, there are indications that we should stick our heads to four teams which seem to be in form to qualify for playoffs in IPL 2018. Here are those fighters and reasons why they could reach the knockouts.
- Sunrisers Hyderabad
David Warner has been banned. Hyderabad was a bit skeptical as who would fight to beat the rivals in the league. But all the fears couldn’t last longer with many significant performances. At their disposal, they have probably the best bowling lineup to be seen and it’s going to be their great strength.
At the top of the batting line, Shikhar Dhawan’s great form and amazing consistency of Kane Williamson are enough to show that SRH has mettle of champions. Rests of them are Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddharth Kaul, and Billy Stanlake in bowling lineup. These are the great winning combinations.
- Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders managed to revamp the core of the team with new captain by their side. KKR seemed to be a settled unit, though it confuses in the ranks. In the fast bowling lineup, they have certain issues. But no one can beat their spinning and batting department as they settled to lead team to the knockout rounds.
Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav and Sunil Narine are the three best spinners they have under the belt and any of these spinners can win the match for KKR. When it comes to batting, they have Robin Uthappa, Chris Lynn, and skipper Dinesh Kartik who combined to have great look for the franchise. When Kartik had a touch in few matches, he is in control of things and best for 2-time IPL champions.
- Kings XI Punjab
Kings XI Punjab seems to be in refreshing form with R Ashwin as captain as they are winning matches and making KXIP an entertaining brand of IPL. They have good depth of spin and seam bowling and batting and they can turn up the heat and win the matches.
On the other side, Chris Gayle is back in his smashing form as he booked a half-century under his name and KL Rahul is batting well. Karun Nair is known to have great performances.
Andrew Tye and Mujeeb-ur-Rahman are the best with the ball without any risk. They go well with the cover.
- Rajasthan Royals
In the absence of skipper Steve Smith, Rajasthan Royals tweaked their core much like Kolkata Knight Riders. This time, Ajinkya Rahane is leading the team. The Royals seemed to be a great unit and their contingent is the most vital in this league. They have K Gowtham, Sanju Samson, Dhawal Kulkarni and Shreyas Gopal who can do much to win the matches.
The team is even better with Ben Stokes, Ajinkya Rahane, Jos Buttler, and Jaydev Unadkat to make it to the knockout stages and even walk away with trophy.
